L'Agrifoglio B&B Tolfa

VILLA FRANCESCA

Recently renovated, villa Francesca is situated in the green woods of the Tolfa Hills, between the small village of La Bianca and Tolfa, surrounded by Wooded and unspoiled  landscapes and, colored by the variety of these plants, such as holly, hence its name,b&b l ‘agrifoglio.
Holly is closely linked to the history of the Tolfa Hills, because of the presence of alum, a material used to dye and fix colour to the textiles . The discovery was, apparently connected  to John’s of Castro acumen, a cloth merchant of almost legendary origins  that, while walking in the area, had noticed the presence of a dense vegetation of holly.

John remembered that, in Turkey where there is plenty of alunite, holly grows more abundant and lush and, finding out  entire patches of these plants in this territory, had reason for his lucid insights.
The b & b Holly is a cozy house with an elegant  and timeless style ,refined with antique furniture, collected and  bought in many antique markets in Italy and abroad. The stylistic imprint of Villa Francesca is due to the good taste of Gaballo family, owner of the property, to which was added the personal touch of Laura and Aldo, managers of the structure.
Having already been committed in the past in the work of tourist reception , Laura and Aldo can offer warm hospitality in a professional environment that remains exquisitely familiar. Thanks to their complementary personalities, they are able to create a magical atmosphere away from noise and too intrusive technologies of city life.
In the b & b you will enjoy the spacious interiors, sitting and reading a good book in front
the fireplace, or the beautiful flower garden, with the possibility of using barbecou under the starry sky.

The essential mood, the colors tied to the land, the rustic feel of the stairs and wooden furniture, make this villa a place suspended between past and future and it  is ideal for an enjoyable stay according to the slow philosophy of Tolfa.
Enjoy the beauty of the landscapes
and discover the slight silence, the music of the wind among the oaks, the scents of the laurels and mimosas.

TOLFA
